FAQ

Common questions about BackNova's privacy-first lead decisioning

How does the free trial work?

+

Start free with full access to all features. No credit card required. Solo plan: 7-day trial. Team plan: 14-day trial. After your trial ends, you'll be charged based on your selected plan (Solo: $149/mo or Team: $499/mo). Cancel anytime before the trial ends with no charges.

What happens if I exceed my decision quota?

+

You'll receive email notifications at 80% and 90% of your quota. If you exceed your limit, you can upgrade to a higher plan or purchase additional decisions. Your service won't be interrupted - we'll continue processing decisions and notify you of any overages.

Can I switch plans mid-month?

+

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with pro-rated billing. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Contact us on Telegram for custom arrangements.

How many decisions are included in each plan?

+

Solo ($149/mo): 5,000 decisions/month — perfect for testing or small campaigns.
Team ($499/mo): 25,000 decisions/month — for growing teams with multiple traffic sources.
Network (Custom): 250,000+ decisions/month — for agencies and high-volume buyers.
All plans include full API access, unlimited team members (Team+), and outcome tracking.

Do you offer refunds?

+

Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee after your trial. If you're not satisfied within the first 14 days of paid subscription, contact us for a full refund. No questions asked.

How fast are your API responses?

+

BackNova typically responds in under 20ms (P99). We're globally distributed via Cloudflare's network, ensuring low latency worldwide.

Can I use BackNova with my existing stack?

+

Yes! BackNova is designed to integrate seamlessly. Use our REST API, JavaScript SDK, or webhook integrations. We work with any CRM, form builder, or tracking system. No migration required - add BackNova as a decision layer between capture and CRM.

What happens if BackNova API is down?

+

Our SDK includes automatic failover. If the API is unreachable, decisions default to MEDIUM so your lead flow continues uninterrupted. We maintain 99.9% uptime SLA.

Do you support server-side integration?

+

Yes. Our REST API works from any backend (Node.js, Python, PHP, etc). However, for privacy-first architecture, we recommend client-side SDK which hashes PII before transmission. For server-side, hash email/phone using SHA-256 before sending to our API.

What's your API rate limit?

+

Rate limits vary by plan: Solo: 200 req/min, Team: 1,000 req/min, Network: 5,000 req/min. Rate limit headers (X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining) are included in all API responses. Exceeding limits returns HTTP 429 with retry-after headers.

Which trackers do you support?

+

BackNova works with any tracker that supports postbacks. We have ready-made integration guides for Keitaro, Binom, BeMob, Voluum, and others. Our SDK captures click_id automatically from URL parameters. See integration docs for step-by-step guides.

How does the SDK work?

+

Our JavaScript SDK (v3.0) automatically collects 47 behavioral signals without any manual code. Just add one script tag to your page. The SDK captures: time on page, scroll depth, mouse movement, clicks, form interactions, device info, UTM parameters, and more. All PII (email, phone) is SHA-256 hashed in the browser before transmission.

What do HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW decisions mean?

+

HIGH (75-100% confidence): Strong buying signals, good source history. Route to premium CPA offers.
MEDIUM (50-74%): Uncertain quality or new source. Good for CPL deals or A/B testing.
LOW (0-49%): Bot behavior, bad source, or suspicious signals. Salvage network or don't send.
Each decision includes a confidence score (0-100%) for fine-grained routing.

Do you really not store plain text email addresses?

+

Correct. We never store plain text PII. Our SDK hashes email and phone using SHA-256 in the browser before sending to BackNova. Raw lead data (name, email, phone) goes directly to your PP via the routeUrl — it never touches our servers. We only store hashes for AI learning. The SDK also collects 47 behavioral signals (time on page, scroll depth, etc.) — none of which contain personal information. Learn more at Privacy & Transparency

Is BackNova GDPR compliant?

+

Yes. Hashed data is not considered PII under GDPR (Recital 26). We don't collect identifiable personal data. No consent management needed. EU data processed in EU via Cloudflare's network. Full compliance by design. See Privacy Policy

Can you reverse the SHA-256 hashes?

+

No. SHA-256 is a one-way cryptographic function. It's mathematically impossible to reverse a hash back to the original email. Even we can't recover the original data. This is why we can confidently claim "Zero PII Storage" - because we literally cannot access the original information.

What data do you actually store?

+

We store: SHA-256 hashes (email, IP), email domain, GEO (country), click_id, behavioral signals (time on page, scroll depth), UTM parameters, decision outcomes, and aggregated statistics. Raw lead data (name, email, phone) goes directly to your PP — we never store it. We DO NOT store: names, addresses, credit cards, plain text email/phone, or any reversible personal data.

Do you use cookies or third-party trackers?

+

We use essential session cookies only (authentication). No third-party trackers. No Google Analytics. No Facebook Pixel. No advertising cookies. We respect Do Not Track signals. Session data stored in localStorage (30-minute expiry).

How do postbacks work?

+

Postbacks are how you tell BackNova what happened to each lead. When your PP/CPA network reports a conversion (approved, rejected, FTD), they send that data to our postback URL with the click_id. This feedback trains our AI to recognize patterns from your specific sources. More postbacks = smarter predictions. Set up postback forwarding in your tracker — see docs for templates.

What GEOs do you support?

+

BackNova works worldwide with no GEO restrictions. Our AI learns patterns specific to each country and traffic source. Team and Network plans include GEO-specific routing rules — automatically route US leads to premium offers while sending LATAM to different networks.

What makes BackNova different from anti-fraud tools?

+

Anti-fraud tools tell you what to block. BackNova tells you what to prioritize. We focus on positive intent signals, not just negative risk indicators. We're a decision layer, not a blocking tool. Think of us as the intelligence between lead capture and CRM routing.

Do I need to replace my existing tools?

+

No. BackNova adds intelligence, doesn't replace. Keep your CRM, trackers, and anti-fraud tools. BackNova sits between lead capture and CRM, providing real-time quality signals to make smarter routing decisions. It's the missing layer.

How accurate are your quality predictions?

+

Accuracy improves with outcome feedback. Initial accuracy: ~70%. After 100 outcome reports: ~85%. After 1,000: ~90%+. The more you report outcomes (approved/rejected/converted), the smarter BackNova becomes for your specific sources and traffic patterns.

Can I test BackNova before committing?

+

Yes! First month is completely free. No credit card required. Test with real traffic, report outcomes, see the accuracy improve. If it's not working for you, cancel before day 30 with zero charges.

What support do you provide?

+

Contact us on Telegram for support with typical response time under 4 hours. Team plans get priority support. We also have comprehensive docs at backnova.xyz/docs.
